– Yuran presented at the Gordon Research Seminar and Conferences (GRS and GRC) In Vivo MRI in Andover, NH. She was also elected as one of the co-chairs for GRS 2026.

– Yuran presented a power pitch at ISMRM 2024 in Singapore.

– Yuran presented at the Bugher Foundation Collaborative Symposium at the International Stroke Conference in Phonix, AZ. She showcased the preliminary results of developing a 3D MR fingerprinting (MRF) method for CSF imaging in mouse for post-stroke edema studies.

ISMRM 2023 Updates
– Kihwan presented “The Effect of Long-term Exercise Training on Metabolic Responses in Obese Zucker Fatty Diabetic Rats using Phosphorous-31 MRS” as a 6-min talk and also as an AMPC selected 100 Abstracts poster.

– Yuran’s work on “The impact of infusion rate on Gd-DTPA transport in the glymphatic system in mouse brain” was presented as a 6-min talk, and her work on “Hierarchical clustering analysis reveals size-dependent transport pathways of cerebrospinal fluid tracer in mouse brain” as a digital poster.

May 2023
– Kihwan successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis. PhDone!!! Congratulations to Dr. Kim!!!

– Yuran is named this year’s Outstanding BME Student Biomedical Imaging by CWRU School Graduate Studies. Congrats and well deserved!!

– Conifer has been selected as a SOURCE – STEM 2023 Summer Research Scholar and received $3,700 funding to develop ML-based approaches for skull-stripping and atlas co-registration for mouse brains. AND he has been awarded $1,000 from Sears think[box] Summer Student Project Fund to develop animal cradles for our new 9.4T system. What a wonderful summer it will be!!!

– Yuran is awarded a 2-year predoctoral fellowship from American Heart Association to study glymphatic function changes in post-stroke brain. Congratulations!!!

– Yuran’s talk on “Contrast Agent Transport in Mouse Glymphatic System Observed by Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced MRI” won 3rd place abstract award of Imaging Nuerofluids.

Graduation updates:
– Huge congratulations to our previous lab alumna Dr. Sherry Huang! Sherry spent her undergraduate years in our lab and continued her Ph.D. study at CWRU with Dr. Mark Griswold.

– We also sent off our senior undergraduate Jessica Meng. Jessica will be pursuing her medical doctor degree at University of South Carolina. Congratulations!
